Barbara Pearl Mullins

Born on August 19, 1946, Barbara Pearl Mullins "a.k.a. Bobbie" was the matriarch of her family and community. Raised in the city of Bessemer, Alabama, she was a member of First Baptist East Bessemer. During that time, she made the most important decision anyone could ever make in life ... she made JESUS her LORD.

She attended the Bessemer City School system while growing up. Shortly afterwards, she became a home care assistant to many neighboring families while taking care of her own.

Barbara gracefully departed one day after Valentine's Day, February 15, 2026, and went on to be with her LORD whom she always referred to as "her BOSS". A woman who can quote scriptures in her sleep and encourage you in the WORD as you navigate life situations. She endured a lot in life yet lived a true example of "Take A Licking and Keep on Ticking"!

Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Lorene Woodard; her brother, Tommy Woodard; daughter, Jacquelyn Mullins; granddaughter, LaQuita Mullins and great grandson, Xavier Mullins.

Her legacy will be cherished with love by her loving children, Misty Mullins, Kelley Mullins (Steve), Cedric Mullins, Tracey Elston (James); her siblings, Mary Parker, Dewayne Woodard (Judy) and Micheal Woodard; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, three honorary grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

 In the words of Ms. Bobbie, "I love ya, and GOD loves us all".
