Carrie Burroughs

Carrie M. Burroughs was born to the late Madison and Carrie Burroughs in Bessemer, AL. She confessed Christ at an early age and later became a licensed minister. Carrie attended Dunbar High School, Alabama State and the University of Alabama in Birmingham where she received a Bachelor's degree in Early Education. She was a retired school teacher for the Bessemer School System. She was preceded in death by : son, Melford Posey, his father Willie Green Posey, three brothers, Madison, Henry and Samuel Burroughs and a sister Rosie Spann. She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving sister, Annie (Billy) Jackson Bloomfield, MI; three sister-in-law's, Mary, Mary Frances and Lula Burroughs; brother-in-law, Willie Spann of St. Louis, MO; special nieces, Monica, Lynnette of Pleasant Grove, AL, and Michelle Spann; twenty five nieces and nephews; great nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
