Curtis Chavers

Curtis Lee Chavers was born December 3, 1953, to the late Eddie Chavers and the late Hattie Chavers. Curtis was preceded in life by his four sisters, Patsy Williams, Elna Chavers, Linda Minter and Josephine Torrance; three brothers, Joseph Chavers, Roosevelt Chavers and Freddy Chavers and grandson, Sed'Darrius Chavers.

Curtis was educated in the Brighton City and Bessemer City School systems. He furthered his education in Trade School.

Curtis continued his walk with Christ and teachings at St. John Independent Methodist Church with Reverend Barry Young.

Curtis leaves to cherish his loving memories his three beautiful daughters, Cassandra Chavers-Yelling of Atlanta, GA, Chanetta Barnes of Tuscaloosa, AL and April Chavers of McCalla, AL; Corey Howard of Bessemer, AL and Michael Black of Bessemer, AL and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
