Diane Moody was born March 12, 1951 in Fairfield, Alabama to the late Carrie Bishop Moody and Rev. Lester Moody. Diane Moody Little departed this life to spend eternity with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 30, 2023.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Jimmie Lee Little Jr. Diane and Jimmie, childhood sweethearts, were married on July 7, 1973, and to this union, one son was born; Kedrick Little.
Diane accepted Christ at an early age. She joined and served at Macedonia Baptist Church in Bessemer, AL under the leadership of the late Rev. B.B. Strowder and presently, Pastor William E. Scott. Diane served her church well as the President of the Matrons. She was active with the Sunday School Department and often narrated the Christmas and Easter plays that were part of the Drama Ministry at the church for many years. She was a faithful member and was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever she was called upon.
Diane attended Robertstown Elementary School and graduated with the Class of 1969 from Brighton High School. She attended Lawson State Community College and Alabama State University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Diane faithfully worked in banking for many years and retired from Regions Bank in 2008.
Diane enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, shopping, dining, traveling, and worshipping the Lord.
Diane leaves to cherish her memories to a loving son, Kedrick Little (Cheryl); three brothers, Rev. Adolphus Moody (Carlene), Larry Moody (Beverly), and Kenneth Moody (Brenda); a step daughter, Valerie Sanders; four grandchildren, Darius, Joy, Cameron, and Laila; a loving mother-in-law, Alice Woods; two brother-in-laws, Harry (Greta) and Earnest (Telisa); a sister-in-law, Joan Little; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
More importantly, her love for God and exemplary life was a beacon of light for all who met her. She fulfilled her purpose of serving God and others. Well done thou good and faithful servant; enter into the joy of the Lord.
