Doris Dancy

Mrs. Doris Annette Dancy was the third born child of Mrs. Annie Mae Sullivan on November 13, 1952. Mrs. Dancy confessed hope in Christ at an early age and united with the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Bessemer, AL.
She was a retired Administrative Secretary with Hueytown High School in the Jefferson County School System for 30 years. She worked at Lawson State Community College in Birmingham, Alabama as a part-time librarian. She attended J. S. Abrams and graduated in the Class of 1972. She was a faithful member of the Class of 1972. She attended Miles College for 2 years and majored in Business Administration.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father, husband (Walter Dancy), son (Marcus Dancy), one sister (JoAnn Owens) and grandparents. She transitioned to her heavenly home on Thursday, February 17th, 2022.
Mrs. Doris Annette Dancy leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter, Ms. Chiquita M. Walker of Bessemer, AL, a granddaughter, Amiha Dancy; three grandsons, Marquis (Chocolate) Dancy, Brandon Dancy, and Jeremy Dancy of Bessemer, AL, five great grandchildren:, Keria, Madison, Jeremy Dancy, Jr., Karson Stallworth, Brandon Dancy, Jr. of Bessemer, AL; one sister, Mrs. Betty Jean Crawford of Bessemer, AL; two brothers, Mr. Ray Anthony (Sherri) Sullivan and Mr. Angelo Aubrey Sullivan, both of Bessemer, AL; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
