Durand Juan Henton was born July 22, 1975 in Bessemer, Alabama to Mr. & Mrs. Willie Henton, Jr. He was the eighth child born to this union. At an early age Durand confessed hope in Christ at St. Peter Primitive Baptist Church. Durand was a 1994 graduate of Jess Lanier High School. After high school he furthered his education and attended Jacksonville State University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He was preceded in death by: parents, Willie and Helen Henton; siblings, Darryl and Juanaka Henton. On Thursday, December 4, 2014 God called His servant home. His memory will always be cherished by: five children, Michelle Renea, William Harvey, Johnathon Eric, Reagan Elizabeth and Aleah Lashon; six brothers, Willie George, Michael Dewayne, Robert Earl (Linda), Gregory Alex, Erick Paul and Corey Henton; aunts, Leatha G. Ross, Betty G. Wilson, Mary Green, Fannie Henton, Martha Henton and Lizzie Henton; uncles, Fredereck J. Green, Sr. (Audretta) and Willie Wilson; one niece, Brittany Smith; great niece, Kaylynn Brister; special cousin, Byron Wilson; special friend, Markete Winston and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
