Elizabeth Reed

Mrs. Elizabeth N. Reed was born February 28, 1925 to the parentage of the late Robert and Pearl Norwood in Greensboro, Alabama. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined St. Peter Baptist Church. She later joined Sixth Avenue Beulah Baptist Church where she remained until her death. Mother loved the Lord and she loved her church. She went to school in Bessemer, and later moved on to work with the disabled children. The children loved her unconditionally. She remained at the school for seventeen years and then she retired. She leaves to cherish her memories: four loving children, Joyce Mitchell, Michael Reed (Barbara Heath), of New York, Barbara Reed and Jefferey (Vanessa) Reed, of Bessemer, Alabama, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She will be missed greatly by the young ladies and young men who called her mother and grandmother.
