Francener Denise Turner was born November 10, 1947, in Detroit Michigan to Romie and Hazel Turner. This union brought forth eight children; four boys and four girls.
Mama Fran, as she was affectionately known, was a proud graduate of Northwestern High School. In addition, she attended the Detroit Business Institute where she earned a degree in Business.
For many years, she worked as a bartender at upscale clubs and lounges in the City of Detroit. Also, she was a hairstylist at Billy Joe's Hair Shop. LaToya also known as Billy Joe, was Mama Fran best friend.
Francener was an outspoken woman who spoke her mind with honesty and confidence. She never hesitated to say exactly what she believed, and those who knew her appreciated her sincerity. She was deeply loved and widely respected, and her presence served as a shining beacon of light within her family.
Preceding Francener in death is her loving daughter, Kordetta and her siblings, Ronnie, Dwight, Rainell and Katrina.
Cherishing her memories are her son, Samuel Lamont Strange; grandchildren; Nadia, DeAndre, Nick, Denzel, Jamal, Xavier and Malik; her siblings, Lovell, Darrell and Shiela Turner; a multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition, Mama Fran was loved by her daughters-in-law, Shun and Andretia families as well. They all considered her their mom, grandma or aunt.
Mama Fran will be missed by those she loved and the many that loved her too.
