IITimothy4:7 Gayle Lynn Booker-Jones was the fourth child born to the late Juanita LeNora Booker-Greene in Detroit, MI, on May 23,1956. Gayle grew up in Bessemer, AL, where she was educated through the Bessemer City School Systems. Later, she became a homemaker until her home going. Her genuine love, beautiful smile and outgoing personality will truly be missed. She was a member of Love Conquers All Assembly of Christ, where she gave her life to Christ and was later baptized under the leadership of Camilo Fuller. Thereafter she began to attend Fifteenth Street Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Horace Bester before going home to be with the Lord. Gayle departed this life on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at UAB Medical West. She was preceded in death by: her grandmother, Charles Etta Holmes; her son Steven Jones Jr.; aunt Dorothy Holland; her mother in law Viola Walton and her special god sister Cassandra "Muck Muck" Williams. She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving and devoted husband Steven Jones of 28 years; two loving children Perdarian (Duke) Booker of Bessemer, AL and Stephanie (Samuel) Washington of Birmingham, AL; three sisters, the mother figure, loving and devoted Brenda (Leon Hudson) Booker, Marva Waters, and Billie Jean Lawson all natives of Bessemer, AL; five grandchildren, Saniyah, Stevon, Samaj, Kiara, Lesha; two special nephews, Terry Hudson and Derrius "Jake" Williams; three nieces, the devoted and caring TyKesha Hudson, Juanita Hudson, Shenell (Sean) Hudson; two special great nephews, Anterrion Hudson Jr., and JaCeon Hudson; a best friend for over 40 years, Fredrena Dennis and a special friend and confidant Mildred "Chicks" Williams and a host of other family and friends.
