Gloria Ann English was January 11, 1944 to the late George Hall and Annie Pardern in Bessemer, Alabama. Gloria was educated in the Birmingham City School system. She received her High School Diploma from Wenonah, Class of 1960. Gloria served in many capacities as a secretary, stewardess, Sunday School Teacher, Missionary and member of the choir. She was a dedicated worker at Protective Life Insurance for many years. After retiring Gloria became a devoted homemaker and caregiver to her family. Gloria was preceded in death by: husband, Paul English, Sr.; adopted parents, Burton and Hilda James; sisters, Thelma Blyther, Fannie Hale and Ella Hale; brothers, Joe Hill and Henry Hale. A Godly life ended on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 8:30 P.M. when Gloria Ann English peacefully accepted her wings. Left to cherish her memories: sons, Paul, Kerry and Derry English; daughter, Wanda (Luther) Walker; sister, Regetta (Henry) Gipson; six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
