Brother Henry Jackson, Jr. was born September 16, 1956 to Henry and Hattie Lee Jackson in Fairfield, Alabama. He confessed his hope in Christ and joined the First Baptist Church, South Bessemer under the pastorate of Rev. L.C. Walker. Later, he joined the Brickyard Hill COGIC under the pastorate of Supt. Paul L. Bevelle. He remained a member there until his death. Henry will be remembered for his large smile and winning personality and an avid University of Alabama fan, Roll Tide! He loved all types of music, and was the first one in the choir stand on Sunday. He fought the good fight of faith throughout his long illness. He finished his course on Saturday, December 5, 2015. He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memories: two sisters, Sonja (Chester) Washington and Meloney (Marcus, Sr.) Gardner; four nephews, Christopher Davis, DeWayne (Avah) Davis, Deontae Moore and Marcus Gardner, Jr.; two nieces, Brianna Moore, Shaqueal Moore and a host of other family members and friends.
