Minister Henry O'Neal

Minister Henry Matthew O'Neal, a beloved husband passed away November 26, 2025, at the age of 90.

Born in Pell City, Alabama on August 22, 1935. He was the son of Mr. Reuben O'Neal, Sr. and Mrs. Celia Bowie O'Neal. He grew up in Pell City, Alabama and attended the Pell City School system.

At an early age, he confessed Christ and was saved. Henry had a long and successful career as a Pipe Inspector and Supervisor for American Cast Iron and Pipe Company (ACIPCO). He was the first Black man to hold the position for 41 years and then retire.

Henry was a devoted family man and friend to many.

Cherishing his memories is his loving wife, Debra O'Neal of twelve years of marriage; his stepchildren, Ira Reid, Jacquelyn Reid and Derrell Reid. Henry also had grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; a sister, Juanita Hamby of Pell City, AL and a host of other relatives and friends.

Henry was preceded in death by his brother, Reuben O'Neal, Jr.; his sisters, Annie Pearl Kelley, Bonita Sawyer O'Neal, Bobby Jo Swain and recently his daughter, Clisa O'Neal.
