Inger "Red" Clark, a fun-loving and hilarious soul who had a passion for dressing up and makeup, has left us for the ultimate penthouse in the sky, complete with a balcony view. Born, September 21, 1960, to Willie George Clark and Odessa Mae Clark, who both preceded her in death. Also, Inger was preceded in death by her siblings, Gaynell Teresa Clark and Willie Jean (Roger) McCoy, and her beloved son, Kenneth Rechard Clark, Sr.
Inger was a proud graduate of Shades Valley High School and Lawson State Community College with a degree in Business Administration. Her skills in typing, dictation, and shorthand were superb. These talents landed her a job at Lawson State, and she also worked at the Plastic Bottling Company, Mrs. Stratton's Salads, and the U. S. Social Security Administration in Bessemer, Alabama.
Inger leaves behind her cherished daughter, Natalie Hilliard; her siblings, LaQuita (Cedric) King, Yvonne (Michael) Sumerlin, Loretta Jennings, Brenda (Rickey) Yarbrough, Tammie (Daniel) Brantley and Ronnie (Lisa) Jennings. She was a loving grandmother to Karielle, Kiara, Le'lani, Kenneth, Jr., Kolby, Cammora and Kelin; a greatgrandmother to Noah, Harmoni, and Jackson. She was extremely close to her nephew/son, LeQuinton King.
Inger had many special friends and neighbors, who became family to her, that will miss her dearly.
Inger loved her pet fur family, including her fur son, Backdoe Hilliard; her fur granddaughter, Bella Hilliard and her fur nephew, Benji King, that will also feel her absence.
Inger brought joy, laughter, and a touch of glamour to everyone she met. She never met a stranger and was known for her generosity, always willing to give the shirt off her back (and probably a stylish hat and shoes too if you needed them!). She could dance, play cards, and had the funniest one-liners. Inger loved to cook and feed everybody, and she was a giver even though she didn't have much to give. Once, she saw a homeless lady on the side of the road on a garbage bag and stopped to give her a donation. Suddenly, a bunch of people jumped out of the woods hollering, "She's giving out money!" and she took off running back to the car throwing coins everywhere! Her caring and generous heart touched everyone she met.
Inger was truly the life of the party, always ready with a joke or a funny story, and will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, loving heart, and her belief that her apartment was a penthouse with a balcony-a testament to her unique and humorous outlook on life.
Inger rededicated her life to Christ and accepted Him as her personal Lord and Savior. She was a proud and faithful member of Gods Angels Prayer Group whereas she prayed twice daily. She was so excited to know it wasn't difficult at all to have a little talk with Jesus and tell Him all about her troubles and He would answer. If any of her friends were sick, she would call their names out during each prayer call and encourage them to join. She was so excited to learn that Jesus accepted her just as she was.
You could never end a call with goodbye to her. She would always sayand expect to hear SEE YOU LATER!!!!!!!!
