James May

Mr. James D. May (J.D.) was born on November 28, 1926 to Gene and Delia   May   of   Hale County, Greensboro, Alabama. Both parents preceded him in death. He confessed his life to Christ at an early age and  moved to Bessemer, AL and joined Allen Temp Church where he worked diligently on the #2 Usher Board and Trustee Board until his health declined. Mr. May retired from the United State Steel  was a dedicated worker for over 30 years. James united in marriage with Juanita Jordan 50 years prior to her death. This union was bless three children, Jerald, Jerome and Jatonya.  Jerome preceded him in death. Left to cherish his memories: daughter, Jatonya;  two granddaughters, VanTarsha (Morris) Clarke and Jazmine Bender; three great grandchildren, Jordyn Wilson, Jada Wilson and GeMorris Clarke; special sister, Rubye Jones;  special nephew, Jimmy (Faye) Underwood; neighbors, Ida Steele, Donald Evans and Arnold (AD); sister-in-law, Lucy May and other relative friends.
