JoAnn Owens

Obituary Mrs. JoAnn Owens  was the second  born child of Mr. Bennie Dunn and Mrs. Annie Mae Sullivan on June 9, 1951. Mrs. Owens confessed hope in Christ at an early age and united with the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Bessemer, AL.   She was a homemaker/housewife all of her married life. She attended J. S. Abrams.  She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and grand parents. She transitioned to her heavenly home on Thursday, November 16th, 2017.   Mrs. Jo Ann Owens leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Mr. Joseph Owens, two sons, Daryl Ray Owens and Tommie DeWayne Owens (Anetra Owens); four grandchildren: Darraysis R. Owens, Shamir Saxton Owens, both of Hueytown, AL; and Ashton Owens, Allan Owens and Alex Owens all of Birmingham, AL.; two sisters, Mrs. Betty J. Crawford and Mrs. Doris Dancy (Walter Dancy) of Bessemer, AL; two brothers, Mr. Ray Anthony Sullivan (Sherri Sullivan) and Mr. Angelo Aubrey Sullivan both of Bessemer, AL; one auntie Mrs. Elizabeth Thomas of Bessemer, AL; A host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
