John H. Brown was born on February 25, 1937 in Uniontown, Alabama to the late Mrs. Johnnie Mae Coleman and Mr. Jimmy Williams.
He was united in holy matrimony to the late Fannie Brown and to this union, four children were born.
He confessed faith in Christ and was baptized at Community Primitive Baptist Church and later joined Hopewell Baptist Church under the pastorage of Dr. Edward E. Rodgers, Sr.
He was employed by U. S. Pipe and Foundry for over 35 years.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and had a deep love for God and for his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-one years, Fannie Brown; daughter, Wanda Jordan; sisters, Betty Patterson and Regina Hicks; brother, David Jackson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: sons, Wayne (LaVonda) Brown and John Brown; daughter, Phyllis Brown; sister, Mary Sturdivant; brothers, Charles (Tammy) Coleman, Donald Hicks and Ronald (Nina) Hicks; nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
