Katie Robinson

Katie Townes Robinson was born on August 30, 1926 in Perry County, Alabama to the late Robert and Callie Houston. Preceding her in death are: Callie T. Moore (daughter); six brothers, Herman (Mattie) Torrance, Richard Torrance, John (Hattie) Torrance, Robert Torrance, Willie Lee Houston and James Houston; five sisters, Adelaide (Lucas) Thomas, Susie Etta (Houston) Lewis, Mattie Moore, Solonia Bell, and Rosie Kemp. Mrs. Robinson gave her life to her Lord and Savior at McKinley Baptist Church in Uniontown, Alabama. After relocating to Bessemer, Alabama she joined Macedonia Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor B.B. Strowder and presently Pastor William Scott. She leaves to cherish her memories of her life: three sons, Eddie (Barbara) Townes, Central Islip, New York, Johnny (Lenora) Townes, McCalla, Alabama, Curtis Townes, Bessemer, Alabama; a caring son-in-law, James Moore, Hueytown, Alabama; two daughters, Lucristia (Roger) Holifield, Birmingham, Alabama, Linda (Larry) Blocker, Bessemer, Alabama; thirteen loving grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Elisa Houston, Bessemer, Alabama and many dedicated and loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
