LaQuenta Dillard, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, minister, and faithful servant of God transitioned peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and grace.
Born on February 16, 1967, in Birmingham, Alabama, LaQuenta was the cherished daughter of Franklin Bernard Heard and Agnes Burrell Heard. Though her father preceded her in death, his memory remained close to her heart throughout her life. Raised in Los Angeles, California, LaQuenta grew up in a loving and supportive home. She graduated from Washington Preparatory High School where she was known for her warm spirit, strong will and beautiful smile. A smile that could brighten any room and bring comfort to all who saw it.
LaQuenta confessed Christ at an early age, beginning a lifelong walk of faith. She later became a devoted member of Rebirth Christian Fellowship under the leadership of Pastor Doug Taylor. There, she answered her divine calling and was ordained as a minister in June 2023, serving with passion, humility, and unwavering dedication to God's people.
On May 15, 2015, LaQuenta was united in holy matrimony with Barry Dillard Sr., affectionately known as Fat Face. Together they shared a beautiful bond built on faith, love, and mutual respect. Their marriage was a testament to the joy and strength found in a partnership rooted in Christ.
LaQuenta was the proud and loving mother of three children, Angel Armstrong, Andre (Ashley) Armstrong and Bernard Blanks, Jr. She was also a devoted bonus mom to Barry (Varunee) Dillard, Jr., Raven (Chris) Mills, LaKersha Dillard and Crystal Dillard. Her heart overflowed with love for her grandchildren, McKell, Ashton, Michael, Marz, Marleigh, Andre, III, Malachi, Legynd, Kynledge, Kayne, Mona, Adrian, Kaylee, William, and Moya, each of whom brought her great joy and pride. She is also lovingly remembered by her mother, Agnes Heard; siblings, Jillanne Davis, Phillina Heard and Spero Cousins, Sr. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, Church family and dear friends.
To know LaQuenta was to know strength, faith, and compassion. Her life was a living testimony of perseverance, love, and unwavering trust in God through her ministry, her family, and her friendships. She touched countless lives and left an indelible mark on every heart she encountered.
LaQuenta Dillard will be deeply missed, but her legacy will continue to inspire and uplift all who were blessed to know her.
