Sister Liller James Walker was born on May 5, 1945 to Mr. Thomas James. Liller confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Bethel Baptist Church under the pastor ship of the late Reverend E. L. Nevett. She was educated in the Bessemer School System, a 1963 graduate of J.S. Abrams High School. She attended Alabama A&M University and graduated from UAB. She worked at Cooper Green Hospital as a Lab Technician. In 1974 she married Henry Walker. She later retired from Cooper Green. She was a faithful member where she served as a Sunday School teacher, a member of the Missionary Society/ Matron and several other auxiliaries. On Sunday, November 24, 2013, Liller went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She leaves to mourn her memories: a devoted husband, Henry Walker; sisters, Lula James Jones, Alberta James Craig and Martha James Taylor (Ernest); brother, Thomas James, Jr. (Juanita); nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
