Maggie Ruth Williams

Maggie Ruth Jones-Williams was the second born of nine children to the late Mr. Cleveland, Jr. and Mrs. Ruth Jones in Birmingham, Alabama on March 16, 1953.

Maggie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and joined Bethel Baptist Church where she remained a dedicated and faithful member.

Maggie was a graduate of J. S. Abrams High School Class of 1971 in Bessemer, Alabama. She furthered her education at Lawson State Community College obtaining her Associate of Business Administration Degree.

Family members greeted Maggie with open arms as she made her heavenly appearance: daughter, Evette Jones; granddaughter, Eboni Powell and siblings, Cleveland, Shirley and Sylvester Jones.

Maggie leaves loving memories to be cherished by her four children, Bernadette Powell, Ruben, III (Juwanna) Powell, Myra (Deacon Marcus) Armstead, Caprisia Chandler (Justin Bell, special son); eight grandchildren, Luther (Mercedes) Powell, Angelica (Darcel) Williams, Ruben Powell, IV, Shamyia (Melvin) Armstead-Caldwell, Keon Powell, Marlanda Armstead, NiKeriya Hurst, Ron'Darius Hall  and Jeffrey Chandler, III; six great grandchildren, Ashton Sharpe, Lemetrius Powell, Italy Smoot, Ava Pippen, ZaMora Powell and Elijah Caldwell; siblings, Edwina Jones, Billy (Franchisca) Jones, Barbara (Willie) Steele, Alphonso Jones and Annette Jones; two aunts, Dorothy Fuller and Stella James and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
