Otis James Harris Sr.

Otis James Harris was born on October 13, 1969, to the late James and Lonnie Mae Crombie of Bessemer, Alabama.

At an early age, he accepted Christ. He joined New Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Doctor William H. Walker, Jr.

He was a graduate of Jess Lanier High School, Class of 1990. Otis was an outstanding athlete.

He was employed through the Birmingham City Schools at Oxmoor Valley Elementary School.

Otis left his earthly home on March 30, 2026. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Lewis Strong.

Cherishing his many precious memories is his loving and devoted wife of thirty-three years, Lisa W. Harris; three daughters, LaCorya Amison, Briana Harris and Khadijah Harris; one son, Otis James Harris, Jr.; three grandsons, Kordell Crusoe, Karter Floyd and Kody Floyd; two granddaughters, Kori Crusoe and Addysin Harris; four sisters, Lonnie (King, Jr.) Cooper of Brighton, AL., Betty (Dexter, Sr.) Law of Pleasant Grove, AL, Zelda Dunn of Fairfield, AL; five brothers, Jimmy Lee Taylor of Dora, AL., Reverend Samuel Lee, Sr. (Varilyn) Harris of Bessemer, AL, Harmon Strong of Brighton, AL and Raymond Thomas of Atlanta, GA; a special father and mother, Mr. Tommy and Mrs. Mary Williams, sister-in-law, Gwen Barnett of Calera, AL; a special neice/sister, Sandra Harris Mitchell; special granddaughter, Treasure Caffee, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
