Pecolia Sanders

Obituary
Mrs. Pecolia Anderson Sanders was born October 14, 1926 in Uniontown, Alabama. She was the second child born to the late Robert Strasser and Elizabeth Anderson.  Pecolia relocated to Bessemer, Alabama where she remained. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Henry Sanders and to this union three children were born. During her life she worked at UAB Medical Hospital and retired after many years of hard work.
Pecolia was a dedicated and faithful member at Macedonia Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and served on several boards until her health began to decline. She was preceded in death by: a sibling, Bobaree Anderson Sanders; son-in-law, Walter Jackson. On January 24, 2018 God called Pecolia Anderson Sanders to her eternal home where her soul is at rest in the arms of her ever-loving Savior Jesus Christ.
She leaves to cherish her memories: children, Georgia Lee Jackson, Buffalo, NY, Rodney (Dianne) Sanders, Montgomery, AL and Gregory Sanders, Woodbridge, VA; grandchildren, Jermaine (Seretha), Reginald, Angela, Sharon, Brenton, Shayonna and Danielle; great grandchildren, Jalequilla, Teaundra and Aiden; and a host of other relatives and friends
