Robert Bell

Mr. Robert A. Bell served as an extended father to generations of families in the Wenonah communities. He influenced the lives of many young people as a coach, bus driver, substitute teacher, mentor and friend. Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Bell. The loving legacy of Robert A. Bell will be shared by: a loving and devoted wife, Maggie L. Bell; three sons, Alfred (Deborah) Bell, Emanuel C. Bell, IV and Reginald (Karen) Bell; special son, Rotimi; two brothers, Armistad (Katie) Bell and Emanuel (Geneva) Bell, III; two sisters, Louise Colley and Lillian Johnson; brother-in-law, Jerry Robertson; sister-in-law, Betty Robertson; four granddaughters, Ashley Bell, Starla Bell, Margaret Bell and Candyce Bell; grandson, Marcus Bell; great granddaughter, Mariah along with a host of other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held Friday, August 28, from 1-8:00 P.M. at Chambers Funeral Home. Family will be present from 6-8:00 P.M. Celebration of life service will be held, Saturday, August 29, 11:00 A.M. at Wenonah High School Auditorium, 2800 Wilson Road SW, Birmingham 35221. Entombment will be held in Elmwood Cemetery.
