Rosa Harris

Rosa Lee Carter Harris was born November 8, 1933 to the late Pastor Ed and Sarah Carter in Westfield, AL. She was the youngest of nine, three sisters and five brothers. Rosa had a career as a cook at a nursing home and various restaurants. She married William Harris in 1976, who preceded her in death. Rosa was a member of God's Sufficient Grace Church, where her son, Reginald is Senior Pastor. She is survived by: one daughter, Brenda (Eugene) Kelly, West Columbia, SC; seven sons, Edward (Carrie) Carter, Birmingham, AL, Frederick Carter, Brighton, AL, Larry Carter, West Columbia, SC, James Carter, Birmingham, AL, Reginald (Bridget) Carter, Pleasant Grove, AL, Detrick (Marcy) Carter, Birmingham, AL and Rodney (Allanna) Carter, Cary, NC; oldest sibling, Willie B. Morsby; twenty-two grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
