Sandra Moore

Sister Sandra Oreline Spidle Moore was born September 20, 1957, in Bessemer, Alabama to the parentage of Campha and Classie Bell Moore Spidle. She was the eighth child born to this union. At an early age, she confessed hope in Christ and united with the Mars Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Frank Scott. Sandra later joined Greater Fourteenth Street Baptist Church in Bessemer, Alabama. After leaving Greater Fourteenth Street, she united with Trinity Baptist Church where she remained and served faithfully until her death. Sandra loved singing and never turned down an opportunity to use her voice for anyone who asked her to sing, be it a funeral, program, or at a family function. Sandra attended Jackson Solomon Abrams High School through the 11th Grade. She spent her senior year at Hueytown High School where she was a 1975 graduate. Sandra never met a stranger. Once you met her you never forgot her. She loved to crack jokes and laugh with everyone she met, and it did not matter who you were or your status. Sandra worked for several local businesses with the last being Koppers Coke Plant until she retired on disability. She was preceded in death by her parents, Campha and Classie Spidle; three siblings, her baby sister who passed away before she was born, Glenda Elaine Spidle, her oldest sister, Deloris Spidle Holmes, and her oldest brother, Setrett Spidle, Sr. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, three sisters, Joyce Spidle Thomas of Hueytown, AL, Bernice Spidle Thomas of Brighton, AL, and Lanette Spidle George (Sam) of Bessemer, AL; one brother, Wayne Spidle (Lillie V) of Covington, GA; one sister-in-love, Sharon A. Spidle of Houston, TX; one God-brother, Kerry Underwood of Bessemer, AL; four aunts, Bettie Green of Tuscaloosa, AL, Olivia Moore Bizzell of Bessemer, AL, Barbara
Jones (Charlie), and Belinda Dale Cleveland, both of Tuscaloosa, AL; two uncles, Joe Edward Townsend of Hartford, CT, and Simon Spindle (Annie) of Pensacola, FL; six nieces, ten nephews, and a host of loving cousins, other relatives, and numerous friends. We would be remiss if we did not mention her buddies who thought of her as one of the fellas, Arthur Miller, Ronnie Stinson, Larry Campbell, Earl White, George Davis, Walter Bowers and the late Charles Kidd.
