Tabatha Giselle Lacey, affectionately known as Tammy, was born on December 20, 1967 to the
late Evans Sander and Ethel Lacey Sanders. She confessed her hope in Christ at an early age
under the leadership of the late Reverend Sanky. Her formal education was received at J.S.
Abrams High School where she was a 1986 graduate. Tammy went on to further her education at
Bessemer State Technical College and graduated with honors in 1992.
One special characteristic about Tammy was that she was affectionate. Her pride and joy were
her family, but she loved her mother and daughter diligently. Her family saw her as one of the
greatest mothers, aunt, sister, niece and friend.
She was preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Jack and Alberta Lacey; sister, Lisa
Sanders; uncles, Jack and Lovell Lacey; nephews, Do-Do, Ching Ching and Nahsheen.
Left to cherish her beautiful memories her one and only daughter, Ca’Lysa E. Sanders; mother,
Ethel Lacey Sanders; brothers, Stanley (Carla Ann) Lacey and Evans Sanders; sisters, Jacqueline
(Carlos) Starks, Jarita (Senyor) Sanders and LaTosha (Darie) Sanders; 21 nieces and nephews;
special friends, Pauline Rea, Sack and Yolanda Pearson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
