Sgt. Terrell Bernard Hill was born September 23, 1948 to the late Carenia K. Brown and Moses Hill in Birmingham, Alabama. He was the sixth of seven children born to Carenia K. Brown and an identical twin, Jerrell B. Hill. He gave his life to Christ at an early age and was reared in the Smithfield Community. He was a graduate of A.H. Parker High School, Class of 1966. Also attended Daniel Payne College where he graduated with a Bachelor's of Science, Sociology and Economics. While at Daniel Payne College he joined the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, and was an active member. Stg. Hill was drafted at the age of 18 in the United States Army and served with honor in the Vietnam Waradd in info from Chaplin Collins Sgt. Hill was a hard worker. He worked at the United States Postal Service, Southern Research, Roy Bridges, Brassfield & Gorrie, Partners in Neighborhood Growth and several other construction companies. He was most proud of his ability as brick mason and participated in the construction of the Civil Rights Institute, Birmingham, AL. He was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Freddie Mae Douglas. He took great pride in his role as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and provider. He faithfully served his community and was called upon often by his neighbors. He transitioned on April 29, 2015 at St. Vincent's Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Sponce Cade, Jeanette Johnson, Weanetta Hill, and Jerrell B. Hill. His memories will forever be cherished by: a devoted and loving wife, Freddie Mae Hill; daughters, LaShawn R. Hill, Christalan Douglas, LaShaundra Douglas, and Teresa (Tray) Thomas; grandchildren, Charmelle Douglas, Maiyah Lee, Taylor Williams, Charleston Gray, Angela Grace Thomas, Brooklyn Gray, Traybeon Thomas, II, Hope Elizibeth Thomas, Kayla Hill, Keonna Hill, Ahmari Hill, and soon to be Amber Olivia Thomas; three great grandchildren; brother, Rufus Hill;special sister-in-laws, Cheryl Douglas and Phyllis McAdory and a special goddaughter, BryOnda Williams; host of other relatives and friends.
