Terry Dwayne Steele

Terry Dwayne Steele was born on August 15, 1970, to the late Willie Mose Thomas, Sr.and the late Evelyn Juanita Steele of Birmingham, Alabama.

At an early age, Terry accepted Christ as his personal savior. He was a devout believer and his faith was the cornerstone of his existence.

In 1989, he graduated from Jess Lanier High School. He was employed with Industrial Manufacturing and for 17 years, he worked for U.S. Steel until his health declined.

Those who knew Terry often described him as loving, kind, and deeply understanding. He had a rare gift for bringing joy to others, making everyone around him feel seen, valued, and genuinely loved. His warmth left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Above all, the love he had for his family stands as a lasting legacy, a true reflection of his character and the purposeful, heartfelt way he lived his life.

On April 30, 2025, Terry made his transition peacefully in his home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Juanita Steele; father, Willie Mose Thomas, Sr.; son, Quinterrius Baldwin-Steele; sisters, Robyn Michelle Steele and Gloria Grandison; brothers, Victor Stallworth and Gerald Thomas.

Terry leaves to cherish his loving and devoted wife, Alicia Steele; father, Arthur Thomas; mother-in-law, Sandra Phillips; ten children, Tiara (Hakeem), Teonna, Roderick, Aquil, Ja'Myr, Jamarri, Sasha, Chasmin, Chasity and Kelson; twelve grandchildren, two brothers Tony (Renee) Steele and William (Deontranise) Steele; three sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Phillips, Melissa Reyes, Dahlia (Luis) Acevedo; one brother-in-law, Raymond Reyes; four Goddaughters, Ja'tavia, Jessica, JaQuese and Jasmin; two devoted cousins, Ronnell and Timothy Steele, a devoted friend, Jeffery Lewis; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
