Valerie Underwood

Sister Valerie Jean Underwood was born to the late Mr. Billy Graham and Mary Pearl Underwood Cunningham ( Eddie) on April 26,1964 in Brighton, Alabama. As a child, she excelled in school and graduated from the Midfield City School System.
“Wrap Hair” as she was affectionately known to family and friends. She gave her life to Christ at an early age. She joined St Mark AME Church of Brighton where she remained a member of.
On December 28.2021 @ 105am, God said, “ job well done Faithful Servant, come on home.” She’s preceded in death by her parents, Mary Cunningham and Billy Graham. Her sisters: Vanessa Underwood, Sherry Gilbert, Janice Fluker Stewart, and Pandora Underwood. One nephew Gewayne Gilbert. Three cousins, Dewayne Davis, Bobby Davis and Gregory Chaverst . One Aunt, Ethel Bell Jones and one uncle, Gilbert Moorer.
Left to carry her legacy is: a lifetime devoted friend, Charlie Shaw: four daughter, Jerica Underwood, Starquesaia Underwood, Jalisa Underwood and Brittany Underwood. Two sons, Romond Underwood and Jalen Underwood. All of Birmingham, Alabama.
Ten grandchildren: Jamiah ( Larry ) Stinson, Justyce Summerville, Jada Smith, Antonio Smith, Jr, J’veon Harris, Aubrei Underwood, Jayceon Poole, Justin Poole, Jr , Jorden Underwood and Chance Underwood. Her bonus daughters, whom she loved the same, Keema Edwards , Ronjenika Edwards , Denise Gamble and Jasmine Clay. Her bonus sons, Robert Curry and Marcus Henderson. Three great grandchildren, Zechariah price, Zhuri Price, Elijah Epps. Two sisters, Tammie Graham, Mary( Johnny) Fuller. 8 brothers; Benny ( Sandra ) Heath, Larry Heath, Gary Heath, Cedric (Juanita) Graham, Terry Underwood, Fernando Parker, Eddie Cunningham, Chris ( Sparkle) Cunningham. One special aunt, Margaret Burrell of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Two cousins, Shirley Davis and Marvel Robinson both of Birmingham, Al.
