Victor Montreal Perkins was born on October 8, 1979, to loving parents, Ricky
and Barbara Ann Perkins at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital in
Birmingham, Alabama.
Growing up, Victor lived with his mother, father and sister, Katecha Shonte. From a
little boy up until his older years, Victor always talked about driving 18 wheelers and
owning his own business. With the help of the Lord, he succeeded in doing so, with
dedication and hard work. As a teen, he loved spending time with his family and
making memories, especially with his first cousins/brothers, Robert, Dwight, Eric and
Sherita Ward. Although, he stayed to himself, Victor had a family all around from
Pensacola, Florida back to Alabama. He was a provider, protector, friend, brother
and cousin, but most importantly, he was an amazing father to his two beautiful
daughters, Victoria Montreallah Perkins and Blessen Nichole Marchman.
Victor struggled badly with Sickle Cell throughout his life, but never let that
defeat him from serving the purpose the Lord had for him. Victor made many
accomplishments throughout his 43 years of life.
He is remembered by his mother, Barbara; two daughters, Victoria and Blessen; sister
and brother-in-law, Herman and Katecha Pryear; his nephews and niece, Dewayne,
Cameron and Mercedes, as well as all his other loving family and friends.
