Willie Gene Spencer, Jr., "Junior" was born on January 13, 1958, to Annie Louise and Willie G.Spencer, Sr. in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Willie confessed his life to Christ at an early age.
Willie was educated in the Tuscaloosa County Schools and was a 1976 graduate of Holt High School.
Willie moved to Bessemer, Alabama to pursue work where he met Vickie Ann Davis in June of 1980. They married and had a daughter in 1981. Throughout Willie's life, he always tried to lend a helping hand at home and in his community. Willie became a proud member of the Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service in 1986, where he served until retirement in 2016.
Willie loved music and football. His favorite group was Parliament Funkadelic, and his favorite football team was the Alabama Crimson Tide. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Willie transferred from this earthly realm peacefully Saturday, March 16, 2024, at UAB Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie Ann Davis Spencer.
Willie leaves to cherish his loving memory, parents, Annie Louise and Willie Gene Spencer, Sr. of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, three children, Vikesha Davis Exford of Midfield, AL, Kimberly Spencer of Tuscaloosa, AL and Monica E. Spencer of Montgomery, AL; five grandchildren, Tremisha Exford of Lexington, NC, Justin Wilder of Tuscaloosa, AL, Ian D. Kelley and Armari Kelley of Midfield, AL and Cameron S. Levert of Montgomery, AL; brother-in-law, Andrew (Annie) Davis of Patterson, NJ and sister-in-law, Cathy D. Tchinda of Patterson, NJ, in addition to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
