BryOnda A. Williams Collins currently serves as Vice President of Chambers Funeral Home, Inc., representing the fifth generation of her family’s proud legacy in funeral service. She began working in the profession at the age of fifteen and remains as passionate and dedicated to serving the community as the generations who came before her.
Mrs. Collins is a graduate of the Funeral Service Education Program, earning an Associate of Applied Science in Funeral Service Education in 1997. She is a licensed funeral director and embalmer and holds a Bachelor of Science in Operations Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
BryOnda is actively involved in funeral service at both the state and local levels. She serves on the Alabama Board of Funeral Service and is an active member of the Alabama Funeral Directors & Morticians Association, Inc., where she has served as Assistant Recording Secretary and contributed to multiple committees, including Chairperson of both the Time & Place Committee and the Uniform Committee. She has also served as an adjunct professor with the Funeral Service Education Program at Jefferson State Community College. BryOnda currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Bessemer Area Chamber of Commerce.
She is a proud mother of Rickney Bryonne and Courtney Bria-Brielle, and a grandmother (GiGi) to Alaia Reign Hunter. BryOnda is a member of Faith Chapel Christian Center in Birmingham, Alabama.


Eric Fuller was born in Birmingham and raised in Bessemer, Alabama. He is a graduate of Jess Lanier High School. He attended Alabama State University before accepting his career job as a firefighter for the city of Bessemer, where he also became a licensed paramedic.
Currently, Eric serves as Lieutenant, Position Fire Inspector and is the city's first and only Nationally Certified Fire Investigator. Eric obtained an associate's degree in Fire Science from Lawson State Community College, an associate’s degree in Funeral Service Education from Jefferson State Community College, and a bachelor’s degree in Public Safety & Health Administration from Athens State University. A dual-licensed funeral director and embalmer, Eric holds his licensure with the International Conference.
Eric has been happily married to his wife, Natalie Tinker Fuller, for eighteen years, and they have two children: Erin, 16, and Nathan, 13. Eric is a proud and active member of Faith Chapel Christian Center where he serves as a TV production camera operator, a member of the host team ministry, and a host for the Life Group Ministry.




David Bell has been serving the Bessemer community for over 65 years. He is a graduate of Birmingham Baptist Bible College and one of the first blacks to graduate from Bessemer Technical Institute. Later, he matriculated to Xavier University in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he obtained his master's degree.
Mr. Bell enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War from 1968-1969. Upon returning home, he worked at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School. During his 35-year tenure, he served as a teacher, a coach, and the school’s first black principal.
As a licensed funeral director, Mr. Bell has served with Chambers Funeral Home for over 45 years. He is also the Superintendent of Porter Chapel and has been the Chairman of the Trustee board for 65 years. He is happily married to Barbara Kelly Bell. They are the proud parents of three daughters, one deceased Yvette Ash O'Neal, and one son, and they have six grandchildren.


Frederick Gene Dudley has been a part of the Chambers Funeral Home family for over 30 years. Mr. Dudley is a native of Bessemer, Alabama, where he was educated through the Bessemer City School system, graduating from Dunbar High School in 1956.
He is a graduate of the Tuskegee Institute with a bachelor's degree in Physical Education. While at Tuskegee, Mr. Dudley was captain of the football team and a member of the basketball team, and he received academic honors as well. He went on to receive his master's degree in Education Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).
After relocating to Bessemer, Mr. Dudley worked as a classroom teacher, head football coach, basketball coach, track coach, and athletic director. Later in his career, he was promoted to the position of Director of Attendance and Security and Executive Assistant to the Superintendent. He retired in 2004, with over 40 years of service.
After retirement, Mr. Dudley worked as a consultant in discipline at Jess Lanier High School. He also worked with the City of Bessemer Recreation Department for over 40 years, organizing the youth and men's basketball leagues, providing free lunches through the summer feeding program, and creating jobs for students and adults in conjunction with JCCEO.
Mr. Dudley has received many honors and awards, including Alabama High School Coach of the Year, First black official to officiate in the Alabama state basketball tournament and all-star game, President of the Education Association of Bessemer, Leadership Award from the State Department of Education, and Bessemer City Schools High School Teacher of the Year. He is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and was inducted into the Tuskegee Hall of Fame for Football in 1997.
Mr. Dudley has been happily married to Katherine Zander Dudley for 50 years. They have two children, Fred II and Fanchon. They also have five grandchildren, Nayirah, Will, Asad, Chloe, and Samad.
